Nursery Services
Nursery Services or Childcare is offered during church service from 9:30 am to end of worship for ages infant to age 4. At age 4 if your child is ready they can make the transition to Sunday School. If new we would ask that you complete the information sheet regarding your child. Your child will remain in the nursery until you come and pick up after worship service which usually ends around 11:00 am. Our Nursery Attendant is Abby Niehaus. Abby has served as our Nursery Attendant for 8 years. She is certified in infant and child AED/CPR as well as adult. All staff and volunteers that work with children, youth and vulnerable adults are required to complete a yearly background check. |
Sunday School
Sunday School is provided for children those age 4 to K up to -Grade 5 in classroom #12. They will begin in worship with their family and after Children's TIme will be dismissed to class. Their Sunday School teachers are typically there to help guide them to their classroom. Children will remain in the classroom until their guardian comes for them at the close of worship. Curriculum involves scripture, biblical story, crafts and music. Our current Sunday School teachers are Debbie Avery and Gail Antijunti. They both are experienced Sunday School teachers. Children in grades 3 and older are encouraged to serve as acolytes also. |
Our Sunday School is currently using Big Faith from Cokesbury.
Check out Cokesbury so you can check out what the curriculum has to offer. |
What has our Sunday School class been up to?
Earlier in the Spring our Sunday School class planted a pumpkin patch and also a pollinator garden and have been carefully tending to it.
During Sunday School on August 31st the kids began to harvest some of our pumpkins (some hungry critters had begun to enjoy them -variety “Magic Lanterns” a little too much). Kiddos labeled them with their names and Karen and Mark will be storing them in their nice cool basement for a little while. Karen also introduced kiddos to purple noodle beans which they were eager to share with adults during fellowship time. Our pollinator garden is also growing! Thanks to Karen and Mark we have really experienced God’s bounty just out the back door
