2022 MARKS OUR 26TH YEAR AS A RECONCILING CONGREGATION!
In November of 1996 the congregation of Vancouver Heights United Methodist Church (VHUMC) voted to officially become a Reconciling Congregation.
In July 2006, the Pride Foundation of Clark Country recognized Vancouver Heights as a "Community Star for their role as an ally to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gender community in Clark County".
**Involved with Saturday in the Park by having a table representing VHUMC
**Vancouver's Gay Pride Celebrations
**Marching in the Portland Gay Pride Parade yearly on Father's Day
**Helping with the Reconciling booth at Annual Conference
**Encouraging observance of Gold Cross Sunday
**Helping other churches with their reconciling process
**We made the church more accessible for congregation by pursing hearing aids, braille hymnals and wheelchairs
**Involved in Peace and Justice Fair yearly by being a sponsor and having a table representing VHUMC
ALL are welcome to worship at Vancouver Heights UMC and become part of our Church Family!
